Stonehenge

English Heritage is a ministry of the UK government and responsible for upkeep and management of Britain’s most prestigious landmarks. The brief was to produce a single image to be used primarily as a poster that would stand being cropped in several specified formats for various point of sale purposes promoting the overseas visitor pass. Art director, Robert Stimpson, gave me total free rein and also suggested I render a brush-version of the castellated square motif that is the English Heritage identity to be used in place of their actual logo. It was a subtle touch of class that further helped tie-in the loose-brush style of my artwork with the typographic content.
